Lagos tops, Yobe, Ebonyi lowest as states’ IGR hits N5.15tn

The 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, generated a combined N5.15 trillion successful Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, successful 2025, representing a 40.93 per cent summation from the N3.65 trillion recorded successful 2024.

This is according to the latest study by the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, connected Internally Generated Revenue astatine State Level for 2025.

Lagos State topped the ranking with N1.77 trillion generated during the year, accounting for much than a 3rd of the full IGR generated by the states and FCT.

Rivers State came 2nd with N428.42 billion, portion Enugu State ranked 3rd with N406.77 billion.

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, generated N356.34 cardinal to fertile fourth, followed by Ogun State with N252.36 billion.

Delta State generated N202.49 cardinal to inhabit sixth position, portion Edo State ranked seventh with N132.21 billion.
