Ogun: Police arrest fleeing father who allegedly killed neighbour for hugging his son

The Ogun State Police Command says, it has arrested 43-year-old Edebiri Temitope, who allegedly bushed his neighbour to decease with a bamboo instrumentality for hugging his lad successful Bluestone Treasure Estate, Mowe-Ofada country of Ogun State.

The deceased, Micheal Oje, 38, a Guidance and Counselling postgraduate of Benue State University, was accused of hugging and playing unsmooth with the 3-year-old kid connected August 26.

According to Peter Adum, a younger relative to the deceased, Micheal had conscionable returned from enactment and the kid who lived with them connected the aforesaid street, ran towards him and hugged him. 

He stated that Michael hugged the lad and threw him playfully successful the aerial and caught him, earlier going into his country to sleep.

Adum said, “While helium was sleeping, Adebiri, the begetter of the boy, came extracurricular and knocked connected his door. When Mike came out, the antheral accused him of playing astir with his child. Mike explained that helium had lone hugged the lad and lifted him into the air.

“That was however the antheral past started slapping Mike. He picked up a bamboo instrumentality from the crushed and deed him astir 3 times. Mike fell and died connected the spot.”
