The legislator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Ireti Kingibe, has alleged that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has been taking loans for the nation’s superior without the support of the National Assembly.
Kingibe made the allegation on Tuesday during an interrogation with Channels Television’s Political Paradigm.
She was discussing the FCT administration, the Abuja maestro program and the oversight responsibilities of the National Assembly.
According to her, records from the Debt Management Office, DMO, indicated that loans had been taken for the FCT betwixt August 2023 and March 2026, contempt Wike not appearing earlier the Senate to question support for specified borrowing.
“I americium decidedly saying Wike has been taking loans without the support of the National Assembly.
“I’m atrocious to say, with each owed respect to the Senate, of which I’m a member, we’re expected to oversee him.
“We’re expected to approve, and I person brought to the attraction of the enactment of the Senate that the FCT is borrowing money.
