Atiku defeats Tinubu in the 2023 elections by just over 3000 votes to win Sokoto.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has been proclaimed the victor of the Sokoto presidential election.

When Atiku narrowly defeated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with just over 3000 votes, the election was everything but easy.

In comparison to Tinubu’s vote total of 285,444, Atiku received 288,679 votes.

The LP candidate came in second with 6,568 votes, and the NNPP came in third with 1300 votes.
