Obi weeps as he laments the suffering of Nigerians
Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in Nigeria’s recently completed presidential election, shed tears as he bemoaned the suffering of young people there on Thursday.
When describing his interaction with a Nasarawa State graduate woman who works as a tea maker but is unemployed, Obi stated, “She has no employment, she graduated since 2018. She informed me she was taking baking classes. When I pressed her on why she hadn’t come here to bake, she replied that she lacked the N75,000 necessary to purchase an oven. People in Nigeria who don’t have N75,000 to buy an oven live like that.
The former governor of Anambra State also declared that he had won the presidential election on February 25 and that he would pursue all legal avenues to restore his office.
“We’ll look into every peaceful and legal alternative to restore our mandate. At a news conference on Thursday in Abuja, Obi declared, “We won the election, and we will show it to Nigerians.
At his first media appearance following the election umpire’s proclamation of a winner, Obi told a roomful of journalists in Nigeria’s capital city, “I am challenging the process.
It’s incredibly unjust. It is the last thing Nigeria should have done, he remarked.
