Five Vacationers Die In An Ondo Automobile Crash

In Ikaram-Akoko, Ondo State, a mishap involving an 18-seater Toyota Hiace commercial bus with the license plate DKA256XY has claimed the lives of five passengers.

On Sunday, 11 additional bus passengers suffered injuries of varying severity.

According to reports, the bus’s tire burst as it was traveling at a high speed, which led to the driver losing control at a crossroads connecting to Ajowa Akoko and Akunu Akoko.

Ezekiel Son-Allah, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ondo State, verified the event to Channels Television over the phone on Monday.

He stated that the deceased victims’ remains had been placed in the morgue at the same hospital, while the injured victims had been transported for treatment to the General Hospital in Ikare-Akoko.

The head of the FRSC gave motorists advice to drive safely and to check the condition of their cars before any trip.
