The best goalkeeper from Nigeria in Europe is Francis Uzoho.

According to the statistics portal Tranfermarkt, Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is Nigeria’s top shot-blocker in Europe this year.

The in-form Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper has recorded more shutouts in Europe this year than any of his fellow countrymen.

He has eight clean sheets in 15 games while giving up 14 goals, which is the greatest performance among the top Nigerian goalkeepers in Europe so far this season.

Adebayo Adeleye of Hapoel Jerusalem is ranked second among Nigerian goalkeepers in Europe after keeping six clean sheets in 15 games while allowing only 16 goals. Sebastien Osigwe of Lugano is ranked third after keeping two clean sheets in three games so far this season.

Maduka Okoye is placed fourth because, after two games this season, he has yet to keep a clean sheet for Watford.

Okoye has been linked with a return to the Dutch Eredivisie and is open to leaving Vicarage Road.
Ike Shorunmu, the goalkeeper coach for the Super Eagles, is happy with how the European goalies are playing right now and has pushed them to keep it up.

“The goalkeepers are doing well, and I can only say that when they continue in form, the race for spots in the Eagles will get more fierce. I hope they keep up this trend because the AFCON qualifiers are soon,” Shorunmu added.
