A Florida man was arrested for threatening Joe Biden.
Only a few days after an attempt on the life of US President Joe Biden’s Republican opponent, Donald Trump, a guy from Florida has been taken into custody for uttering threats against the latter.
According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida, 39-year-old Jason Patrick Alday was taken into custody on Monday.
The office stated in a statement on Wednesday that Alday, of Quincy, Florida, “engaged in sending threatening communications, making threats against President Joe Biden and other federal officials.”
Alday allegedly threatened Biden while he was being admitted to a mental health facility in Tallahassee, Florida, last month, according to the criminal complaint.
He allegedly threatened people again in posts on X.
Alday is being held in custody until his trial.
At a campaign rally on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, a gunman opened fire, wounding Trump, 78, in the ear.
There was a fatality at the event. Snipers for the Secret Service killed the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was twenty years old.
