After turning over power to Bola Tinubu, the “President-elect,” on May 29, President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that he will spend six months at his town of Daura in Katsina State.

This information was revealed by Buhari in a statement issued by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity, following the President’s Thursday meeting with the Progressive Governors Forum.

He will thereafter retire to Kaduna State, according to Shehu.

Recall that on Thursday, President Buhari met with the governors of the All Progressives Congress (the party in power) in the State House.

The APC governors, led by their chairman, Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu, paid a visit to Buhari to congratulate him on the victory of his party in the general elections of 2023, which were held on February 25 and March 18, respectively.

While the governorship and State Assembly elections took place on March 18, the presidential and National Assembly elections took place on February 25.
