Aguero speaks out over Messi going back to Barcelona

Sergio Aguero, a former forward for Manchester City, has acknowledged that he would like Lionel Messi to rejoin Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi and Aguero are friends and former Argentina national team colleagues.

Since Messi’s contract with PSG is slated to expire at the end of the current campaign, reports in recent months have strongly suggested that he will be returning to Barcelona.

Both the 35-year-old and the French champions have no desire to extend the agreement.

“Anywhere he wants to be. The ideal place for him is there, Aguero told Stake.

Leo deserves the best, so I’m wishing him that. Anything he chooses cannot be beaten.

I would really like to see him play for Barcelona once again, but like I said, that is up to him to decide.

“We are all aware of what Leo can bring back to Barca.”
