Arsenal fight back to defeat Bournemouth and maintain a five-point lead over Manchester City.



Arsenal recovered from conceding the second-fastest goal in Premier League history with a thrilling 3-2 win over Bournemouth thanks to Reiss Nelson’s stoppage-time strike after title rivals Manchester City beat Newcastle 2-0 on Saturday.

With just over half an hour remaining, Mikel Arteta’s team trailed by two goals.


However, the Gunners demonstrated their ability to handle the pressure of a title race with a remarkable comeback that kept them five points ahead of second-placed City.

After only 9.11 seconds, Philip Billing gave second-bottom Bournemouth the lead with a clinical finish from inside the Arsenal area.
