At the Paris Summit, world leaders are eager to meet with President Tinubu, according to Alake

President Bola Tinubu has requested to meet with no fewer than four international leaders in Paris, France, where he will attend the summit for the New Global Financial Pact that is being organized by President Emmanuel Macron.

Dele Alake, Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, stated as much to the media on Wednesday when she discussed the main points of the summit.

As President Tinubu continues to network in an effort to attract more foreign investment to the country, Alake claimed that France, the United States, and Switzerland are among the nations expressing interest in expanding economic collaboration.

According to Alake, “The President wants to network with international finance corporations, institutions, and well-off nations that would or might facilitate direct foreign investment into Nigeria.”

He recalled that recent restrictive currency policies caused many foreign investors to leave Nigeria, but as a result of the President’s recent bold economic decisions, foreign countries and investors have shown increased interest in Nigerian affairs and the need to strengthen the economy of the country.

President Tinubu landed in Paris, France on Tuesday for the two-day conference. This is his first travel abroad as President.

At 6:47 p.m. local time, the jet landed, and he was met at the airport by Ambassador Kayode Laro and other high government representatives from the Nigerian Embassy and French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After the devastating effects of climate change, the energy crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic, the President, according to Alake, will join world leaders to review and sign a New Global Financial Pact that prioritizes support and investment for vulnerable countries.
