BREAKING NEWS: NECO publishes the 2022 SSCE external results.

On Thursday, the National Examinations Council stated that the November/December 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination results would be made public.

The statement was made in Minna, Niger state, by Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the Registrar of NECO.

A total of 59,124 individuals registered for the exam, including 31,316 male candidates (representing 52.96%) and 27,808 female candidates (representing 47.03%), according to the NECO head.

According to Wushishi, there were 58,012 candidates who took the English Language exam, of whom 44,162 (76.13%) received a credit or higher. There were 57,700 candidates who took the Mathematics exam, of whom 43,096 (74.69%) received a credit or higher.

He also revealed that 33,914 candidates, or 57.36 percent, received five credits or more on the exam, which includes English language and math.

Additionally, 46,825 candidates, or 79.20%, received five credits or more, regardless of their proficiency in the English language or mathematics, he added.

In response to the topic of exam fraud, he stated that “11,419 candidates were booked for various forms of fraud in contrast to 4,454 in 2021, which shows a dramatic increase in the number of malpractice cases.”

He claims that the monitoring officers’ improved skill and plan are substantially to blame for this.

Four supervisors were blacklisted as a result, two from Ogun State and one each from Rivers and Plateau States, for assisting and abetting as well as subpar monitoring, he claimed.

The results of the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination, External, which NECO administered from November 21 to December 21, are being announced today, 57 days later.

Wushishi continued by stating that, similar to 2021, a total of 29 patients were tested.
