DSS has denied detaining Godwin Emefiele, the suspended head of CBN.

The Department of State Security, or DSS, has refuted claims that it has detained suspended Central Bank of Nigeria governor Godwin Emefiele and arrested him.

There have been rumors that Emefiele was detained by the DSS as soon as the Presidency announced his suspension in a statement. The security agency has since refuted this assertion on its Twitter account.
