Edo Queens have earned a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League following a commanding 3-0 victory over Benin Republic’s Ainonvi FC in the final of the WAFU-B Women’s Championship in Abidjan on Friday.

The Nigerian champions concluded an impeccable campaign with this dominant win, underlining their superiority throughout the regional qualifiers.

Their journey to the title started with a crushing 5-0 victory over Niger’s AS Garde, followed by a solid 3-0 win against Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies.

In a hard-fought match, they narrowly defeated Burkina Faso’s Omni Etincelle 1-0, demonstrating their ability to prevail under pressure.

In the semi-finals, Edo Queens faced a tough challenge against Ivory Coast’s Inter D’Abidjan, but their resilience and tactical discipline earned them a 2-1 win, securing their spot in the final.

In the final against Ainonvi FC, the Queens were in control from start to finish. Suliat Abideen opened the scoring with a spectacular strike, followed by Emem Essien’s clinical finish to make it 2-0.
