Election in 2023 In response to a court order to permit the use of temporary voter cards, INEC acts.

In response to a court decision ordering the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to permit the use of Temporary Voter Cards on Thursday (TVCS).
A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered the electoral body to permit the use of TVC in the March 18 gubernatorial election, according to a previous report from Naija News.

The ruling was made by Justice Obiora Egwuatu, the presiding judge, in a case brought by two Nigerian citizens who wanted to use TVCs in place of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) during the general elections.

The judge claims that the order was made on the basis that the plaintiffs were legitimately registered and included in INEC’s database prior to the start of the general election.
