Elections in 2023: Fintiri suspends NGOs’ activities because to allegations of vote-buying

The activities of both national and local non-governmental organizations functioning in Adamawa State have been suspended by Governor Umaru Fintiri.

During a webcast from the Government House in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, the governor made the statement and remarked that NGO’s are straying from their mission of delivering humanitarian aid to the populace.

Yet, he praised the security agencies’ performance in the 2023 presidential election, ordering security forces to patrol the state round-the-clock to prevent a breakdown of law and order.
