Electric buses are now available for usage in Lagos.

The state of Lagos has received its first batch of electric buses for use in public transit.

In a statement released yesterday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the vehicles will improve efficiency and cut carbon emissions, and that residents could now look forward to affordable transportation in the state.

The governor claimed that the relationship between the state government and Oando Clean Energy Limited was responsible for the initiative’s success.

He declared, “Our electric buses are a game-changer with a range of 280 km at full charge, taking into consideration our specific travel hours in Lagos. There is no need to worry about the buses stopping while in transit because existing BRTs go an average of 200 km each day, according to Sanwo-Olu.

“Our new electric buses will improve efficiency while lowering carbon emissions. As a result, Lagosians may bid farewell to exorbitant fuel prices and welcome hello to affordable transportation.
