England captain Kane will not play against Brazil.

Harry Kane, the captain of England, is “extremely doubtful” to play against Belgium next week and will miss Saturday’s friendly against Brazil.

Kane will not be risked for Bayern Munich’s match against Brazil at Wembley after sustaining an ankle injury during their 5-2 victory over Darmstadt last weekend.

The former Tottenham striker might also be unable to attend Tuesday’s Wembley friendly against Belgium.

The game is the last one before England manager Gareth Southgate announces his squad for Euro 2024, but Kane isn’t concerned about his seat on the plane to Germany in June.

Jordan Henderson, a midfielder for Ajax, and Cole Palmer, a forward for Chelsea, are still with the England team but will not play in the sold-out match due to injuries.

Due to an injury, Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka was left out of Southgate’s squad on Thursday.

England manager Gareth Southgate stated, “Tomorrow no Harry Kane, no Jordan Henderson, no Cole Palmer.”

Cole and Hendo, in my opinion, have a better chance of making it to Belgium than Harry. He would be highly unlikely to do that.

Although Kane’s injury is unfortunate, Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney now have an opportunity to compete for the position of England’s all-time leading goal scorer for the Euros.

Toney made just one appearance for England, coming off the bench against Ukraine at this time last year, while Watkins has three goals in nine international matches.

Shortly after, the Brentford striker started an eight-month Football Association ban, and he was called up at the first chance.

“Very large opportunity”

When asked how many strikers he would take to the Euros, Southgate responded, “Well, that is a decision we will have to make because clearly a nine is a specialist position.”

“They have distinct qualities, and that would rely somewhat on the health of injuries at other positions on the team as well as the presence of players who could fill multiple roles.

“I believe they both understand how significant the opportunity is. However, they’ve both spent time with us and are in good health.

Naturally, Ollie has been with us more recently and has performed admirably in the games he has played. He’s had an incredible season with his team.

“They are two excellent players; Ivan has had the impact we anticipated since he returned to Brentford’s squad.”

In their inaugural game as head coach Dorival Junior’s team, England is favorites to defeat Brazil, which is currently rebuilding.

Although the Selecao has defeated European opponents in 10 of their previous 11 friendlies, they still need to win to break their four-game losing streak from 2001.

“I’ve read somewhere that in 26 games, we’ve only defeated Brazil four times, or something similar,” Southgate remarked.

This team has defeated formidable opponents on numerous occasions; Italy and Spain are just two examples of the many games against whom we don’t have a great record.

Thus, this presents an additional chance for us to leave our mark and write a little bit more history for these boys.

Additionally, we will be put to the test in every facet of our game, which will present us with a formidable challenge.
