The Federal Government has designated June 28 and 29, 2023, as holidays for Eid-El-Kabir.

Oluwatoyin Akinlade, a permanent secretary in the ministry of interior, said this in a statement.

The statement said, “The Federal Government heartily felicitates with the Muslim Ummah at home and in the diaspora and has declared Wednesday June 28th and Thursday June 29th 2023 Public Holidays in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.”

“Make sacrifices for the growth and development of our communities and our great country, Nigeria,” Akinlade urged Muslims and other Nigerians.

The nation’s long-desired peace and togetherness may once again be restored thanks to the prayers and sacrifices of the season, the permanent secretary voiced hope.

The statement ended, “We are confident that the prayers and sacrifices associated with this magnificent event, as well as the message of Eid-ei-Kabir, will result in peace, unity, and growth in Nigeria.
