Fire Destroys Ogba Lagos Government Staff Quarters
The Lagos State Government Staff Quarters, located on Odunsanmi Street off WEMPCO Road in the Ogba area of the state, have reported a fire.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of morning, specifically at 2:20 am.
Information surfaced that one of the sixteen two-bedroom apartments in Flat 5, of Block 21, a three-story, two-winged structure, was set on fire.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, or LASEMA, conducted a preliminary investigation and found that the children’s room had an electrical surge that caused the fire.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LRT, and NPF of the Agency worked rapidly and cooperatively to ensure that the fire was quickly controlled and put out.
Thankfully, no one was killed or seriously hurt in the tragedy.
Oke-Osanyitolu affirmed, “In addition, victims and other occupants were educated on the proper use of electric appliances.”
Men from Nigerian police officers and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, or LASEMA, were still fighting to fully control the situation as of five in the morning.
