In an interview with the New York Post while traveling to Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention, where he is expected to be officially announced as the party’s presidential nominee, Trump stated that he was not supposed to be here and that he should be dead.

He described it as a “very surreal experience,” according to the article, while wearing a white bandage over his right ear.

In a chaotic and horrific episode on Saturday, a gunman struck him, escalating political tensions ahead of the divisive US presidential election.

The Republican candidate claimed to have felt the bullet tear through his skin hours after it happened.

A few hours later, Trump stated on his Truth Social network, “It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country.” His comments are guaranteed to fuel the political animosity that is already sweeping the United States.

“As soon as I felt the bullet ripping through my skin and heard bullets and a zipping sound, I knew something was wrong. I became aware of what was going on when there was a lot of blood.

Later, in video footage released by his deputy communications director, he was seen leaving his jet on his own, though his injured ear was not facing the camera. According to the New York Times, he was spending the night in New Jersey.

Police verified that the shooter was an adult male spectator who left one dead and two gravely injured.

Butler police stated they had “responded to a number of reports of suspicious activity” after several witnesses claimed they had seen the gunman prior to the massacre and had informed the authorities.

Later, Trump was seen leaving the plane on his own, however in video footage released by his deputy communications director, his injured ear was not facing the camera. According to the New York Times, he was spending the night in New Jersey.
