Kanye West’s legal team is attempting to notify him via newspaper advertisements that they are no longer representing him.

A group of attorneys representing Kanye West intends to notify the rapper via large newspaper advertisements that they will no longer be representing him.

Lawyers for the firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP stated in documents obtained by TMZ that West, 45, has disconnected the phone number used to contact him, resulting in a “breakdown in communication” with Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband.

According to the attorneys, their firm attempted to notify West via ‘alternative means’ of telling him that they were no longer representing him, as well as publishing a court order issued by a judge allowing the severance of the professional relationship.

The attorneys stated that the planned advertisements are a last-ditch effort because they have attempted to contact West about the issue but he has been unresponsive.

The idea behind publishing the statement in a newspaper is that it will “likely garner significant media attention, resulting in broader publication,” according to the lawyers.

The news comes as West has been romantically linked to architectural designer Bianca Censori, and the couple ‘had some sort of wedding ceremony’ recently, according to the outlet, noting that the couple had not appeared to obtain a marriage certificate, which would make the marriage legal.

West has kept a low profile since his last appearance on Alex Jones’ Infowars show, in which he praised Nazis and Adolf Hitler.
