Kroos extends his deal with Real Madrid for another year.
Real Madrid announced on Wednesday that Toni Kroos has reached an agreement to extend his contract and will remain with the club for the upcoming campaign.
The 33-year-old midfielder will now stay at Madrid for a 10th season even though his previous contract was set to expire at the end of June.
Since moving from Bayern Munich to Real in 2014, when he also won the World Cup with Germany, Kroos has won four Champions Leagues and three La Liga championships.
Kroos and fellow seasoned midfielder Luka Modric, 37, are expected to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for another year, according to coach Carlo Ancelotti.
For more than 100 million euros ($108 million), Madrid acquired the adolescent English player Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund last week, bolstering their midfield options, which already included Fede Valverde and French teenagers Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.
