Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s only child and Michael Jackson’s ex-wife, died at the age of 54 after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Lisa Marie Presley died in a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday, January 12, after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was 54 years old.

Elvis Presley’s daughter collapsed in her Calabasas, Los Angeles home on Thursday morning after her heart stopped suddenly.

According to TMZ, Presley initially regained a pulse after first responders performed CPR, and her ex-husband Danny Keough reportedly continued CPR until medical professionals arrived.

She went into “full cardiac arrest” and was given epinephrine.

“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital,” wrote Priscilla Presley on Instagram.

“She is now receiving the best care available. Please keep her and our family in your thoughts and prayers.”

After attending Tuesday night’s Golden Globe Awards, where Austin Butler won best actor in a drama film for his portrayal of her father in Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis,” Presley suffered a cardiac arrest.

Butler dedicated a portion of his acceptance speech to Presley and her mother, who were both in attendance at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

“Thank you for welcoming me into your hearts, memories, and home,” Butler said. “I love you forever, Lisa Marie and Priscilla.”

Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s only child, was a singer-songwriter who released three albums between 2003 and 2012. In 1994, she married pop singer Michael Jackson, whom she divorced two years later.

Michael Jackson passed away in 2009.

Her only son, who was 27, committed suicide in July 2020.

“His death completely detonated and destroyed my and my three daughters’ lives as we knew it,” she wrote in a People essay commemorating National Grief Awareness Day on Aug. 30. “This is what we live in every single day.”

Riley and Ben were born to Presley’s ex-husband Danny Keough, as were twin daughters Finley and Harper from her previous marriage to Michael Lockwood.
