Christian Eriksen will not be able to play for Manchester United again until late April or early May owing to an ankle injury, the club has announced.

Eriksen suffered an injury on Saturday night during their victory over Reading at home in the FA Cup.

The Red Devils earned their well-deserved victory thanks to three goals from the Brazilians, two of which came from Casemiro and one each from Fred.

In the 57th minute, Eriksen was replaced by Fred after Andy Carroll, a former Liverpool player, injured Eriksen’s legs.

On Tuesday, information regarding the 30-year-old was updated on the official Manchester United website.

The statement stated, “Christian Eriksen, a midfielder for Manchester United, is anticipated to miss a significant amount of time due to an ankle injury sustained during our Emirates FA Cup victory over Reading on Saturday.

Although investigations are ongoing, preliminary estimates show that Eriksen will probably not return until late April or early May.

Given that the 30-year-old has made 31 appearances since moving to Old Trafford and has consistently delivered strong performances throughout the season thus far, his absence will be a significant disappointment to manager Erik ten Hag and the fans.

However, there is still a chance that Christian will be able to make it back in time to participate in the campaign’s closing stages.

“Christian has our best wishes for a quick recovery,” says everyone.
