Nicolas Jackson: Bournemouth and Villarreal strike a $20.3 million deal
Jackson, a versatile front three player, has three goals this season in 24 games across all competitions.
After Dango Ouattara’s £20 million transfer from French club Lorient, the 21-year-old is expected to become Bournemouth’s second acquisition of the January transfer window.
After Saturday’s match with Nottingham Forest, the Cherries are currently ranked 18th in the Premier League.
Before moving on to Villarreal in 2019, Jackson started his career with the Senegalese team Casa Sports. He first played for the club’s B squad before making his professional debut in October 2021.
Nicolas Jackson, a forward from Senegal, will join Bournemouth from Villarreal for 23 million euros (£20.3 million).
At the World Cup in November, he made his debut for his country as a substitute against the Netherlands.
Bill Foley, an American investor who completed the purchase of Bournemouth last month, has promised to bolster manager Gary O’Neil’s squad in an effort to get the team out of the relegation zone.
