Ronaldo scored the Saudi club’s first league goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the top player for Al Nassr, finally registered a goal for the Arabian club by converting a penalty in a 2-2 draw with Al Fateh.

However, Ronaldo squandered a crucial scoring opportunity in the first half of the match as Al Nassr trailed by one goal before the Portuguese star’s late penalty tied the score for his team.

Despite scoring twice against PSG for an all-star team in a renowned friendly earlier in January, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner had failed to score in his previous two games.

Ronaldo had yet to score for his new team, failing to score in either Al Nassr’s Saudi Super Cup loss to Al Ittihad or his league debut against Al Ettifaq.

Al Nassr are now in first place after 15 games, tied with Al Shabab for second place on 34 points, although they have a game in hand thanks to his club’s assistance in stealing a point from the visiting team today.

On Thursday, they depart for Al Wedha.
