Sergio Ramos and Neymar leave their PSG futures up in the air

Sergio Ramos, the Spanish center-back for Paris Saint-Germain, will have to negotiate a contract extension this summer, as will Lionel Messi.

Ramos, who is paid six million euros per season, is out of contract in 2023 and will have to sit down with Nasser Al-Khelaifi to discuss his future.

However, the possible arrival of Inter center-back Milan Skriniar could complicate his continuity at the French club.

According to L’Equipe and Le Parisien, Skriniar already has a verbal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.

The performances of the Spanish international have not been as satisfactory as expected. In his first campaign, injuries were the main problem and the season was lost.

In this second campaign, his gametime has improved and he has played a total of 25 games, being a key player in Christophe Galtier‘s scheme at the heart of the defense, but that might not be enough to earn a new deal.

Neymar’s future is uncertain too

Meanwhile, Neymar is another player who might be in his final months at PSG, even though he has a contract until 2025.

There was already speculation last summer, following the renewal of Kylian Mbappe, that the Parisian board would agree to transfer the Brazilian player in order to restructure the club and get rid of his expensive wage.

But, for the time being, the Brazilian star does not want to leave Paris Saint-Germain, making it tough.
Furthermore, few teams could afford his contract’s hefty price.
