Seven Family Members Die From Food Poisoning in Sokoto
After consuming tainted cassava delicacy, seven members of the same family in Runjin Barmo village, Kajiji District, Shagari Local Government Area, Sokoto State, have passed away.
A statement on Sunday that was signed by the state Ministry of Health’s information officer, Nura Bello, verified this.
According to the statement, the victims ate the cassava meal for dinner. Muhammadu Modi, the village chief of the community, told Commissioner for Health Asabe Balarabe about the occurrence.
A portion of the statement said, “The victims are the father, Abubakar, his wife, A’ishatu, and their five children.”
In order to determine the incident’s cause and notify the government so that appropriate action can be taken, Balarabe stated that government representatives were present in the community.
After consuming the alleged cassava meal, one kid who chance to be alive would have samples taken by the ministry, according to the commissioner.
She expressed her condolences to the locals affected by the regrettable event.
