1) Ichigo’s Vasto Lorde

Speaking of shonen anime, otakus can never forget Ichigo’s Vasto Lorde form as one of the most threatening transformations. After Espada Ulquiorra nearly killed Ichigo by blowing a hole through his chest, the Hollow within him gained control and transformed him into the Vasto Lorde form. Ichigo was able to wield Hollow powers greater than those of an Espada because to this transition, which enabled him to defeat Ulquiorra right away.

2) Goku’s Super Saiyan

The transformation of Goku into a Super Saiyan is arguably the most recognizable in all of shonen anime. While Goku’s Super Saiyan 3 transformation is highly praised by anime fans, it still pales in comparison to the moment he became the first Super Saiyan in ages. Once in that form, Goku easily outmatched Frieza and vanquished him. Subsequently, the shift served as a springboard for many more powerful transformations.

3) Luffy’s Gear Four

Although Luffy has many many forms, his Gear Four Bounce Man transformation is the one that stands out the most. He used his Kong Gun to take down Doflamingo before unleashing this form on him.

Doflamingo initially disregarded the form because Luffy had grown larger, which would have slowed him down. The captain of the Straw Hats Pirates, however, could swiftly cross distances with his hops.

4) Naruto’s Sage Mode

While Naruto Uzumaki had many forms, his Sage Mode, which he used to beat Pain, the commander of the Akatsuki, was the one that rocked the entire franchise. The residents of Hidden Leaf Village did not acknowledge Naruto until that point. The main character discovered a method at Mount Myoboku that allows him to draw chakra from the environment and use it in battle.

5) Gon’s Limitation Transformation

Gon lost his calm when he discovered that Neferopitou, a member of Meruem’s Royal Guard, had lied about having brought Kite back to life. He then used every last bit of his life energy to build up the strength to destroy him. He did this to make his body age, which caused him to get so furious that he could kill the Chimera Ant. Fans will have to wait till Togashi confirms that Gon will never again perform his Restriction Transformation.

6) Eren’s Founding Titan

It was only inevitable for Eren Yeager’s subsequent major metamorphosis to rank among the most recognizable ones in the history of Shonen anime when Attack on Titan became a worldwide hit. Moreover, the long-awaited Rumbling occurred as soon as he was able to change into the Founding Titan. Eren moved toward other civilizations to destroy them after starting the Rumbling. All of this was done to prevent Eldian discrimination.

7) Asta’s Black Form

Black Clover’s Asta was the only character in the anime to have no mana, which meant that he was possibly the weakest character in the series. However, he obtained the five-leaf grimoire, within which resided the Anti-Magic Demon Liebe.

8) Goku’s Ultra Instinct

Although Goku’s Super Saiyan transformation is undoubtedly the most recognizable in shonen anime, his Ultra Instinct form in Dragon Ball Super was much too recognizable to be left out of this list. Following the form’s debut appearance, it broke down Crunchyroll servers due to the overwhelming viewership count.

The series’ Gods were unable to reach the peak of the Ultra Instinct, but a mortal standing right in front of them had already done it.

9) Naruto’s Baryon Mode

No fan of the series would have imagined that they would get to see the main character level up to a new form with the conclusion of Naruto Shippuden. They did, however, get to see it during the battle with Isshiki Otsuki.

Naruto’s Baryon Mode made use of the user’s life energy as power, and hence he had to maneuver cautiously. After the fight, Kurama unfortunately went dead, creating one of the most heartbreaking scenes in shonen anime.

10) Mob’s 100% Transformation

Teruki Hanazawa attempted to beat down Shigeo Kageyama when he first showed up in Mob Psycho 100 because they were both espers. He did not want to employ his esper abilities, though, because Mob was a formidable opponent. But, when Mob’s emotions take control, his capacity exceeds 100%, giving him an immediate advantage over his opponents.
