Tinubu: I’ll put in a lot of effort for Nigeria as Buhari did for me

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC’s presidential candidate, has pledged to serve Nigeria if elected in the presidential election on February 25.

This promise was made by Tinubu to party members on Tuesday in Lagos during the party’s final presidential rally.

President Muhammadu Buhari and governors who support the ruling party were present at the gathering.

Tinubu thanked Buhari for accepting his invitation to attend the event and said, “Thank you very much, Mr. President. You give us all inspiration. Please accept my gratitude for now, the past, and the future.

You gave us the impetus to work hard for our country and become great because it is desirable for Nigeria to be great, he continued.

Thanks, Mr. President, Tinubu continued. You adhere to the steps. You give us all inspiration. I won the primary after voting was cast. I didn’t ask them to change it in accordance with my religion, and you didn’t ask them to change it in accordance with my tribe. I wasn’t from your village in Daura, so you didn’t ask us to change it.

You joined me in celebrating the triumph and wished me well. I approached you to suggest a vice president for me, just as I did in 2015, but instead of offering me the same coin, Tinubu responded, “You know better, you’ve experienced better, you know those Nigerians, you know who you want to work with.”

President of the Senate Ahmed Lawan, Speaker of the House of Reps Femi Gbajabiamila, National Chairman of the APC Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu are all in attendance at the event.

Only a few national leaders, such as Senator Remi Tinubu and Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora, are present in addition to local and state leaders like Senator Ganiyu Solomon, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Lagos APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, and Publicity Secretary Seye Oladejo.

Thousands of supporters of various candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives, and Assembly were dancing and singing in celebration as they lifted Tinubu’s spirits with music from Wasiu Ayinde, a legend of Fuji music (KWAM 1).

Shaeed Balogun, Fathia Balogun, Jide Kosoko, Mama Surutu, Yinka Quadri, Ashley and Foluke Dartmouth, and other actors and actresses performed for the large audience.
