Todd Boehly makes major Chelsea transfer decision amid planned contract talks for £98m duo

Following the close of the January transfer window, contract extension discussions for current Chelsea players Mason Mount and Edouard Mendy are expected to continue. After officially announcing the acquisition of Mykhailo Mudryk for £88 million on a seven-and-a-half-year contract with an option to extend by a further 12 months, the Blues appear to be prioritizing additional prospective signings in the next weeks of the January transfer window.
