Travel advice is provided by LASTMA before to the APC presidential campaign rally.

In advance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally slated for Tuesday, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has released a travel advice to help commuters within the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari is anticipated to preside over the APC Presidential Campaign Council at the event, which will take place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere (PCC).

In a statement released on Sunday, the general manager of LASTMA, Bolaji Oreagba, stated that Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, would be traveling with other party leaders, faithful members, and supporters to the event.

According to Oreagba, the APC leaders will travel from the nearby airport to the stadium via Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way in Maryland, Ikorodu Road (Idi-Iroko, Anthony, Obanikoro, Onipanu, and Fadeyi), Jibowu, Empire, and Moshalashi.

For impacted travelers, the traffic management organization offered other routes.

ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) PRESIDENTIAL MEGA RALLY SET FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2023 AT TESLIM BALOGUN STADIUM, SURULERE, LAGOS BY LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION.
The APC Presidential Candidate, Party Stalwarts, Party Faithful, and Supporters would proceed from the Local Airport to the Stadium through Mobolaji Bank as a result of the aforementioned. Anthony Way, Maryland, Ikorodu Road (Idi-Iroko, Anthony, Obanikoro, Onipanu, and Fadeyi), Jibowu Empire, Moshalashi, Ojuelegba Barracks, and Stadium are some of the places mentioned.
Therefore, during the procession, drivers are encouraged to use the following detours:

1. USE: Kodesoh, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Kudirat Abiola Way (Old Oregun Road), Ojota, Maryland, and connect destination FROM LOCAL AIRPORT TO MARYLAND.
2. USE: Kodesoh, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Secretariat Road, Mobolaji Johnson Avenue (7-Up), Ojota Interchange, Ketu, and connect destination TO GET TO KETU-MILE 12 FROM LOCAL AIRPORT.
The Service Lane will be easily accessible to Vehicles when the procession is on the Main Carriage Way on Ikorodu Road.
Moreover, drivers can use the following to lessen discomfort and travel time both before and during the procession/rally:

Use the Old Toll Gate, Alapere, Ogudu, Iyana Oworo, and Third Mainland Bridge to go to your destination from IKORODU to Lagos or the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Lagos.
The Oshodi Bridge, Anthony Bridge, Gbagada, Iyana Oworo, and Third Mainland bridge are used to connect the destination on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway to Lagos.

Enough security and law enforcement personnel will be deployed along the whole designated routes to the stadium and other roads in order to minimize inconvenience, travel time, and ensure the safety and security of all road users.

APC’s Presidential Mega Rally is scheduled on February 21, 2023 at the TESLIM BALOGUN Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
It is advised for all party faithful and supporters attending the rally to use the following alternate routes to the site (Teslim Balogun Stadium) in light of the procession of the APC Presidential Candidate and his Party Stalwarts, Party Faithful, and Supporters from the Local Airport to Stadium:

1. Ijora Olopa near LAWMA Headquarters, Third Mainland Bridge, Adeniji Adele Interchange, Carter Bridge (Idumota Bridge), Eko Bridge, Alaka, and Stadium
2. USE JIBOWU, Herbert Macaulay Way, Adekunle, Third Mainland Bridge, Adenji Adele Interchange, Carter Bridge (Idumota Bridge), Ijora Olopa near LAWMA Headquarters, Eko Bridge, Alaka, and Stadium FROM AGEGE MOTOR ROAD.
3. USE: Orile, Iganmu Bridge, Costain, Iponri, Alaka Stadium FROM APAPA-OSHODI EXPRESSWAY (ITIRE, OKOTA, AMUWO ODOFIN, LAGOS BADAGRY EXPRESSWAY)

To encourage order and the free flow of traffic (both pedestrian and vehicular traffic) within and outside the venue, designated parking lots are available at the stadium.
Before and during the demonstration, we ask for your cooperation and support while reassuring you that there will be enough security and law enforcement personnel deployed along these routes to minimize discomfort, speed up travel times, and improve protection of lives and property.
