UK Crocodile Expert Sent To Ten Years In Prison For Sexually Abusing Dogs
Australia on Thursday condemned a once-respected crocodile expert to over ten years in prison for killing and sexually abusing numerous dogs, among other offenses.
The 53-year-old Adam Britton entered a guilty plea to 63 counts of animal abuse, bestiality, and possession of child abuse materials.
Chief Justice Michael Grant of the Northern Territory Supreme Court called Britton’s actions “unspeakable” and “grotesque” when he sentenced him on Thursday.
According to Australia’s ABC national television, Britton promised the owners of the 42 canines he would provide them with a “good home” when he purchased them online between 2020 and 2022.
Rather, Britton recorded himself raping and killing canines in a shipping container on his Darwin property, according to an ABC story.
Telegram was then used to distribute the video.
Britton was detained by police in 2022.
Britton, an Australian crocodile expert, was born in the United Kingdom and contributed to numerous BBC and National Geographic programs.
He is prohibited from possessing mammals for the remainder of his life and will be available for parole in April 2028.
