Zelensky congratulates Tinubu and declares that relations between Ukraine and Nigeria will improve

Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has received congratulations from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for winning last Saturday’s presidential election.

Following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s declaration of Tinubu as the victor on Wednesday, the Ukrainian president turned to Twitter on Thursday to express his congratulations (INEC).

I’d like to congratulate @officialABAT for winning the presidential election in Nigeria. I anticipate tight collaboration,” he stated.

“I have no doubt that there will be an improvement in the bilateral relationship. is prepared to collaborate with you to address obstacles facing the world, such as risks to food security!

In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, INEC proclaimed Tinubu the victor.

After a tough contest, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Tinubu, 70, received 8,794,726 votes, over two million more than his nearest challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Abubakar, 76, who has already campaigned for president six times, received 6,984,520 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who in less than a year galvanized youthful voters in a way that some have called unprecedented, came in second with 6,101,533, received 6,101,533 votes.
