Goje’s Expulsion Due to Alleged Anti-Party Activities Is Supported by Gombe APC LGAs
The All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership of the Gombe State local government areas (LGAs) of Akko/Dukku/Billiri and Yamaltu/Deba has approved of Senator Danjuma Goje’s expulsion by the party officials of his Kashere Ward.
Following accusations that he participated in anti-party activities during the 2023 elections, Goje was expelled from the party by the ward executives last week.
The former governor was accused of violating the party’s rules by, among other things, skipping the state’s APC presidential campaign rally.
Goje was allegedly absent from the state APC campaign rally and tours, and he was also accused of making friends with an opposing party’s governorship candidate during the most recent elections.
Speaking to press on Thursday, the APC chairmen said sanctions should be taken against party members and officials who engage in anti-party behavior prior to, during, or following the general elections in 2023.
Usman Ahmed Kumo and Ali Isma’ila of the Yamaltu/Deba council claimed to have carefully considered and approved the action made by the Kashere ward leadership of the party.
