According to Aisha Buhari, the Old Naira Notes Post was the product of a hacker.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha Buhari, claims that a hacker placed a false remark on her social media pages concerning the extension of the deadline for the outdated naira notes.

On social media early on Tuesday, a statement claiming to be from the CBN claimed that the apex bank has ordered the reissuance of the old naira notes till May.

The CBN has refuted the claim, which was widely disseminated on Aisha Buhari’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

She said the change was the result of one of her accounts being hacked, albeit she has since removed it.

It has come to my attention that earlier this morning, a specific false report was placed on my Instagram account, which also has a direct link to my Facebook profile. Hours later, she sent an email directing that it be deleted.

This is without a doubt the criminal behavior of the individual(s) who deleted a good number of my posts from 2018 to late last year when I posted a video and a picture of my hands covered in the ABAT insignia on the day I launched the APC Women Presidential Campaign Committee for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ilorin, Kwara State, my post about the Traditional and Complementary Alternative Medicine (TCAM) conference, as well as 17 other posts.

“This person is a hacker who is motivated by criminal intent with the goal of continuing to damage my reputation through my social media platforms. Nonetheless, I can guarantee that this is the first and final time I would denounce phony news on my account. Despite being verified accounts, it is the security agencies’ job to determine who I am sharing my social media handles with and take any necessary action.
