Air Chief Orders Crackdown On Oil Thieves And Terrorists
Air Component Commanders have been instructed by Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, to intensify military operations and take heavy targets on terrorists and oil thieves.
During a virtual meeting on Monday, Abubakar gave them the order in Abuja while praising them for their excellent performance thus far.
He emphasized the vital role they have played in maintaining the country’s safety and security, noting that their commitment and strategic efforts have resulted in a number of missions that have been successfully completed.
Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the NAF spokesman, cited the CAS as saying, “The Service, and indeed the entire nation, are proud of your achievements.”
“The recent operational successes are a testament to your leadership and the professionalism of the men and women under your command. Your unwavering pursuit of excellence and commitment to duty have not gone unnoticed.” Nevertheless, we have to keep hitting them hard until they give up to our overwhelming power.
But Abubakar emphasized that there are still many obstacles to overcome and urged the commanders to keep up the momentum and exercise caution in order to continue using information, precision strikes, and cooperative efforts with sister agencies to neutralize any dangers that may still exist.
The commanders were also informed by the CAS that the NAF leadership is still totally dedicated to their well-being and to provide the tools and resources required to improve operational skills.
He emphasized that the security and tranquility of the country are of utmost importance and expressed confidence in their capacity to fulfill their duty.
“We can’t take our success for granted. Our nation’s security is contingent upon our unshakable dedication and unyielding resolve. I challenge you to work even harder and to move forward with even more resolve. In order to guarantee the accomplishment of our operations, the Nigerian Air Force will keep provide all required assistance,” he continued.
