The proceedings of erstwhile Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, and 7 others implicit alleged misappropriation suffered a setback on Wednesday as the State High Court adjourned the lawsuit until October 14.
Ganduje is lasting proceedings alongside his wife, Hafsat Umar, connected an 11-count complaint bordering connected bribery, conspiracy, misappropriation and diversion of nationalist funds amounting to billions of naira.
Other defendants successful the suit are Abubakar Bawuro, Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Ltd, Safari Textiles Ltd and Lasage General Enterprises Ltd.
When the lawsuit came up for proceeding of each pending applications, counsel to the prosecution, Mr Victor Oni, told the tribunal that the authorities was acceptable to proceed.
Oni told the tribunal that the prosecution had filed a question connected announcement dated May 15, 2026, and sought permission to retreat an earlier question dated March 31, 2026.
