APC takes control of Zamfara Assembly as Speaker, 12 lawmakers defect

Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Bilyaminu Moriki and 12 different lawmakers person defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Moriki announced the defection during plenary successful Gusau connected Monday aft presenting letters of resignation connected behalf of the lawmakers.

The improvement follows the caller defection of Governor Dauda Lawal from the PDP to the APC.

The APC has scheduled Tuesday, March 24, to formally person the politician and the defecting lawmakers into the party.

Among those who defected are the Deputy Speaker, Adamu Aliyu (Gummi II Constituency); Majority Leader, Bello Mazawaje (Tsafe East Constituency); and Chief Whip, Rilwanu Nagambo (Anka Constituency).

Moriki said the determination was taken to align with the politician and beforehand improvement successful the state.
