Atuma defeats former lawmakers, gets APC ticket for Abia Central

Former Senator representing Abia Central, Nkechi Nwogu and erstwhile subordinate representing Ikwuano/Umuahia national constituency, Sam Onuigbo on Monday, failed to get the All Progressive Congress, APC, Senate summons for Abia Central.

They were defeated  by Emeka Atuma astatine the superior election.

Atuma, who was a erstwhile House of Representatives member, won the superior aft polling a full of 36,935 votes from six section authorities areas of Umuahia North, Umuahia South, Ikwuano, Osisioma, Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South.

Nkechi Nwogu, who is simply a erstwhile House of Representatives subordinate and besides erstwhile Abia Central Senator, scored 11,451 votes.
