BREAKING: Boko Haram fires RPGs at a Gwoza voting unit
On election day, reports and locals claim that suspected Boko Haram militants fired a Rocket Propelled Launcher at a polling location in Borno state’s Gwoza local government area.
Voters scrambled for safety as a result of the incident, which occurred on Saturday about 10 a.m.
Some people reportedly suffered injuries, but nobody died, according to sources.
According to sources, the terrorists shot RPGs from the Mandara Mountains, which border Gwoza and the Cameroun Republic, at a great distance.
The hometown of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, who is running again on behalf of the APC, is Gwoza, which is located roughly 150 miles south of Maiduguri.
All attempts to reach Ndume, the chairman of the senate committee on the army, for confirmation failed because his phone line was disconnected at the time of publication. End
