Court adjourns El-Rufai’s N1bn suit against ICPC until March 25

The Federal High Court successful Abuja, connected Wednesday, adjourned a cardinal rights enforcement suit filed by erstwhile Gov. Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State against Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, and 4 others until March 25 for hearing.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik adjourned the lawsuit to let parties successful the suit regularise their processes.

El-Rufai is demanding N1 cardinal successful damages against ICPC, the Chief Magistrate astatine the Magistrate’s Court of the FCT, Abuja; Inspector-General of Police and the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, named arsenic 1st to 4th respondents respectively.

When the lawsuit was called, Ubong Akpan, who appeared for El-Rufai, informed the tribunal that the substance was fixed for hearing.

However, helium said they had conscionable responded to ICPC’s antagonistic affidavit but yet to respond to that of the IGP.

Abdulsufiano Abubakar, ICPC’s lawyer, and the constabulary counsel, Ezekiel Rimamsomte, confirmed Akpan’s submission.
