Court adjourns Walida’s case to March 26

A Federal High Court successful Dutse, the superior of Jigawa State, has adjourned the proceeding of a lawsuit seeking the unconditional merchandise of Walida Abdulhadi and her reunion with her household until March 26, 2026.

Walida was reportedly abducted from Hadejia Local Government Area and allegedly sexually assaulted by Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, who is said to beryllium an operative of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The presiding judge, Justice Hassan Dikko, granted the adjournment aft counsel to the defence, Abdulmalik Sani, requested further clip to record a counter-affidavit successful effect to the exertion submitted by the plaintiff.

During the tribunal session, the plaintiff’s counsel, Kabir Adamu, told the tribunal that helium was prepared to proceed with the lawsuit and determination the exertion requesting the contiguous merchandise of the unfortunate and her reunification with her family.

The plaintiff is besides asking the tribunal to bid the DSS to transportation the suspect, Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, to the Jigawa State Commissioner of Police for further investigation.
