A Federal High Court sitting successful Umuahia has dismissed a lawsuit brought against the subordinate representing Ukwa East/Ukwa West national constituency of Abia State, Chris Nkwonta.
The case, which was filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had prayed the Federal High Court to state the spot of the lawmaker vacant for defecting from the PDP to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The PDP had successful the lawsuit alleged that Nkwonta’s enactment violated conception 68(1) (g) of the 1999 constitution of the PDP, and prayed the tribunal to bid a behaviour of bye-election successful the Federal constituency wrong 90 days to capable the House of Representatives member’s seat.
