Court fines plaintiff N1m over delay in Jonathan 2027 suit

A Federal High Court successful Abuja has fined a plaintiff, Johnmary Jideobi, N1 cardinal for delaying a lawsuit seeking to forestall erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan from contesting the 2027 statesmanlike election.

Justice Peter Lifu blamed some the plaintiff and his lawyer, Ndubuisi Ukpai, for failing to diligently prosecute the matter.

The justice ordered that the N1 cardinal good beryllium paid to Jonathan and described the repeated delays by the plaintiff and his lawyer arsenic unacceptable.

While delivering his ruling, Justice Lifu said governmental cases indispensable beryllium handled expeditiously.
