EFCC arrests Abuja-based agent over alleged N288m property fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested an Abuja based location agent, Hajia Adama Ahmed Adamu, implicit an alleged N288 cardinal spot fraud.

The improvement was disclosed by the Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the EFCC pursuing a petition filed by a complainant who accused the fishy of fraudulent dealings.

According to the Commission, the fishy allegedly collected the sum from 1 Alhaji Tanko Yawale nether the pretext of facilitating the acquisition of a spot located astatine House 31 Haile Selassie Street, Asokoro Abuja.

According to the statement, findings showed that aft receiving the payment, the cause failed to supply valid ownership documents for the property, raising concerns implicit the legitimacy of the transaction.

“Hajia Adamu allegedly failed to supply the complainant with valid documents for the spot and subsequently became evasive, raising suspicion and prompting a ceremonial petition to the EFCC,” the connection read.

Following the petition, operatives of the Commission tracked and arrested the fishy successful transportation with the alleged fraud.
