The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested Mustapha Abdullahi, Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, implicit alleged wealth laundering involving much than N500 billion.

According to TheCable, Abdullahi was arrested successful Abuja on Wednesday and is presently being held by the anti-graft bureau for further investigation.

Abdullahi was appointed by President Bola Tinubu arsenic the 3rd Director-General of the Commission connected October 24, 2023.

Before the appointment, Abdullahi served arsenic Senior Technical Adviser to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji.

He is simply a chartered technologist and a subordinate of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
