Ekiti court jails man for stealing, dismisses armed robbery charge 

An Ekiti State High Court sitting successful Ado-Ekiti has sentenced 1 Oluwapelumi Adewale Ogundipe to 3 years imprisonment aft uncovering him blameworthy of stealing, aft helium was charged for conspiracy and equipped robbery.

The judgement was delivered successful Suit No. HAD/32C/2025, State vs Ogundipe Oluwapelumi Adewale, earlier High Court 4.

Ogundipe was primitively arraigned earlier the tribunal connected charges of conspiracy and equipped robbery involving 1 Alasi Kolawole.

The prosecution had alleged that the convict and others acted unneurotic to rob the victim, an offence that carries terrible penalties nether Ekiti State law.

During the trial, the prosecution counsel, Kunle Sina Adeyemo Esq., Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions successful Ekiti State, presented grounds to enactment the charges. After reviewing the facts and testimony, Justice A.A. Adeleye held that the prosecution did not afloat found the offence of equipped robbery.

However, Justice Adeleye ruled that the grounds proved the lesser offence of stealing. Based connected this finding, the justice convicted Ogundipe accordingly and sentenced him to 3 years imprisonment.
